A WEEKEND OF MUSIC, EXPERIENCE AND COMMUNITY

Otis is an open, intimate and affordable festival, offering an eclectic and unique mix of artists and genres.

Our aim is to produce an experience that encourages new and meaningful interactions with art, music, the outdoors and each other, while also embracing and supporting our local communities, music and culture. We work hard to make each year at Otis is better than the last.

Otis is for everyone — we are family and we want you to join us in celebrating the end of the summer in the heart of the Adirondacks.

VENUE

Otis Mountain is an old-time ski hill sitting above Elizabethtown, New York, a small community in the Adirondacks that welcomes friends, strangers and family alike. Boasting tall pines, meandering rivers, little or no cell-service, handbuilt stages and mossy-wooded campgrounds scattered with relics of the past, Otis is a true hidden gem of the Champlain Valley.

You can get to Otis any number of ways, If you’re driving or looking for a ride visit our Ride Share Group.

Our address is Lobdell Lane Elizabethtown, NY 12932.

GREAT MUSIC, NO FRILLS

Our line up is not solely built on popularity, but rather quality, diversity and spirit.

HISTORY

The story begins in the 1950’s when the mountain operated as a locally-owned ski hill. It remained open until the late 1970’s, but closed as many other small New England ski hills did, due to expensive insurance costs and low snow winters. The property changed hands in 1994, and has served the community as an open access, privately owned rope tow and recreation area.

Beginning in 2002 the site played host to an annual bluegrass festival that showcased some of the genre’s finest acts. The festival ran until 2009. After 4 years of dormition it was revived with a new direction by the next generation of friends and family at Otis, and continues to keep the mountain’s legacy of community, good music, and good times alive.
