Trillium and Friends will present an exceptionally special event in Elizabethtown, NY.

The Adirondack chamber music ensemble, Trillium, will perform a stimulating program of music by Bach, Mozart, Turina, and Seco de Arpe. The performance will take place in the lovely and intimate setting of the Elizabethtown Hand House, 873 River St. at 7 pm on Saturday, October 21. Donation.

Two outstanding guest musicians will grace the program: Marilyn Reynolds, violin; and Patricia McCarty, violist. Also appearing on the program are Janice Kyle, oboe; Brian Donat, ‘cello; and Timothy Mount, piano. 3 of the artists are from the tiny hamlet of New Russia, former home of the great ‘cellist Piatigorsky and his guest, the violinist and founder of Meadowmount, Ivan Galamian.

McCarty, former assistant principal viola in the Boston Symphony, has performed as soloist with orchestras around the world. Her London performance was described by the Times to be “an outstanding exhibition of string playing of the highest American class.” Reynolds was a longtime member of the Orchestra of St. Luke’s in New York with whom she performed, recorded, and toured internationally. She also performed in dozens of Broadway musicals, as concert master and assistant conductor.
